- Age Range: 18 and over
Ramping up the intensity a few notches, the Tough route is a big day in the fells for teams with a reasonable level of fitness, who are comfortable with the extra miles and ascent. Taking in the best the Lake District has to offer, the route plunges up and down the hills to the east of Grasmere before sweeping down from the north into the finish line for well deserved tea and medals.View the kit list
Q. How fit do I need to be to undertake this route?
A. This route is substantially more challenging than the Peak and you will therefore need to expect a longer day with plenty in the tank to push you round. You will need to have done a significant amount of training in the run up to the day and have prepared yourself for the hours on your feet. Very achievable in the time allotted, this route is for more experienced participants who are looking to challenge themselves in the hills.
