By Media Team on

Arqiva, a leading communications company, has signed up to take on the Cumbrian Challenge. This year, Arqiva joins forces with Walking With The Wounded as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the veteran community.

The Cumbrian Challenge is our flagship fundraising event that takes place on May 17 and 18 in Grasmere, Lake District. It brings together supporters from across the UK to raise funds for veterans and their families and has been a significant event in the Armed Forces community for 11 years, attracting more than 2,000 participants over the years.

Participants in the Cumbrian Challenge can choose from three routes, each with its own level of difficulty, providing an opportunity for everyone to take part and show their support.

Victoria Doran, Head of Relationships at WWTW said, "We are thrilled to welcome Arqiva as one of the latest teams to sign up for the Cumbrian Challenge 2024. It's always inspiring to see organisations like Arqiva join forces with us to support veterans and their families.  We're looking forward to seeing their teams in May and are grateful for their commitment to our cause."

"We are thrilled to be part of this year's Cumbrian Challenge and to support Walking With The Wounded," said Ella West, Arqiva’s Wellbeing Lead. "For us, this event forms part of a wider company wellbeing programme, to encourage our people to set and train toward a physical activity goal – it’s a great way for colleagues to get active and team build, while contributing to a very important cause. We look forward to a memorable experience and to raising much-needed funds for veterans and their families."
