Cumbrian Challenge
Testimonials
Don’t take our word for it hear from past participants!
It’s a well organised event from start to finish, from the first email received on registering, to the last email thanking us for taking part and raising the money. We feel part of the event, as we are aware of everything that is going on during the lead up to arriving, great communication.
I keep coming back because I hear first hand about the veterans that Walking With The Wounded support and how the money raised is used on a day to day basis. I pass these on to my team and this motivates them to take part and fundraise. We all feel very strongly that veterans need and deserve the help provided.

A true challenge with sweeping views, aching bodies, and hearts full of pride – that's the Cumbrian Challenge for Walking With the Wounded in a nutshell. Amidst all the physical exertion, there is an undeniable camaraderie. Strangers become friends and teammates, all united in the purpose of pushing personal limits for a very worthy cause.
The Cumbrian Challenge is more than just a walk in the hills. It was a journey of resilience, friendship, teamwork and above all, a powerful demonstration of our collective support for veterans.
The aches and pains will fade, but the memories – and the impact of the funds raised – will stay with us all forever.

It's an absolute pleasure and a privilege to take part in the Cumbrian Challenge. It can be tough going, but the Lake District fells are such a spectacular place to walk. Completing the challenge feels amazing. You get a real sense of camaraderie and achievement having worked together towards the same goal.
It also gives us a chance to come together as a team, hear stories from veterans and understand the vital work that Walking With The Wounded does to help them get back on their feet. We employ a lot of ex-services personnel, so it's a perfect fit for us.
Since 2019 we've raised over £150,000 for the charity, working with our corporate partners, friends and families, and being as creative as possible to get people involved and spread the word. We'd like to thank everyone who participated, sponsored and donated, and we're looking forward to continuing our partnership with Walking With The Wounded.
