We know that fundraising can sometimes be tricky, and it can be difficult to know where to start, so we want to highlight 10 ways to boost your donation efforts for Cumbrian Challenge.

1. Gift Aid: Don’t forget to encourage everyone to claim Gift Aid on their donations, and if you’re eligible, make sure to claim it for your contributions as well. At no extra cost to anyone, this allows an additional 25p to be added to every pound donated. Every one of those pennies goes directly toward assisting veterans and their families who need our support to rebuild their lives.

Record turnout and victorious teams mark the 2024 Cumbrian Challenge

The resounding success of Walking With The Wounded’s flagship fundraising event, the Cumbrian Challenge, was underscored as winners emerged from a record-breaking participation on Saturday, 18 May. This year's event saw over 600 participants take to the Fells overlooking Grasmere to raise money to support veterans and their families across the UK.

Celebrating its 11th year anniversary, the weekend event has become a beacon of solidarity, rallying nearly 2,000 teams over the years to conquer the Grasmere fells and raise over 2 million in support of ex-military personnel. AEW Architects take on Cumbrian Challenge

This year, an impressive 169 teams have signed up and are committed to taking on the challenge, including four teams from AEW Architects who will be taking on the Tough and Tougher routes.

Arqiva to take part in the Cumbrian Challenge

The Cumbrian Challenge is our flagship fundraising event that takes place on May 17 and 18 in Grasmere, Lake District. Mastercard teams set to take on the Cumbrian Fells

On Friday 17 May, Grasmere in the Lake District will be bustling with hundreds of Walking With The Wounded supporters, gearing up for the renowned Cumbrian Challenge. Among them are teams proudly representing Mastercard’s SALUTE Business Resource Group.

This year marks the 11th Cumbrian Challenge event. So far, the event has raised over 1.8 million to bolster WWTW’s employment, mental health, and support care coordination programmes to support veterans and their families. To date, 170 teams have signed up.

Clearly Drinks gear up to conquer the Cumbrian Challenge

Two teams from Clearly Drinks will join hundreds of Walking With The Wounded supporters in Grasmere this May, as they take on their inaugural Cumbrian Challenge.

Set in the picturesque rolling hills set above the quaint village of Grasmere, the event sees participants tackle one of three routes spanning 11km to 28km. Each route takes on numerous peaks and introduces participants to stunning vistas spanning the Lake District Fells.

Sunbelt Rentals announced as Presenting Partner for the Cumbrian Challenge 2024

Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) is thrilled to announce Sunbelt Rentals as the Presenting Partner for this year's Cumbrian Challenge event. In addition, Gasway, BAE Systems Submarines, DXC Technology and FDM Group are also supporting the event.

The Cumbrian Challenge is WWTW's flagship fundraising event, drawing in hundreds of participants to conquer the rugged Cumbrian Fells.
