Psyche yourself up at the start line in Grasmere before heading up the infamous, Heartbreak Hill before circling around through White Moss and capturing some stunning views of the lake as you ascend Loughrigg Terrace.
Through Dow banks, you’ll look down on the picturesque houses of Chapel Stile on your way up to Lang How, the highest point on your route. From there, it’s a steady meander passed Easedale and back into the village for a waiting crowd to cheer you in!
Difficulty information
This is our entry level route. You don’t need to be super fit or a seasoned hiker but you’ll still be out on the hills for a few hours. To prepare, get your legs moving with some local walks, ideally with a backpack to simulate the event.
There’s no rush on this route, so take your time and soak up the stunning scenery around Grasmere, including beautiful lake views and peaceful trails.
