The Mission Behind Walking With The Wounded
Walking With The Wounded is a UK charity that helps ex‑service personnel rebuild their lives when they’re facing difficulties. Their work focuses on three essential areas:
• Mental health support — providing early access to therapy for veterans dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, or PTSD.
• Employment support — helping veterans retrain, gain new qualifications, and secure long‑term employment so they can regain independence and stability.
• Care coordination — offering personalised support for veterans and their families, especially those facing complex challenges such as homelessness, financial hardship, or social isolation.
Their goal is simple but powerful: to help veterans regain purpose, confidence, and a positive future.
Why Your Support Matters
By sponsoring me, you’re directly contributing to life‑changing programmes that support veterans and their families. Every donation—big or small—helps provide mental health care, employment opportunities, and practical support to those who need it most. The Cumbrian Challenge is the charity’s flagship fundraising event, and the money raised makes a real, measurable difference.
