Being honest, I didn’t know much about the WWTW charity and it’s only through my work at Sunbelt Rentals UK that I learnt about this charity that helps ex-service personnel, with support from Sunbelt too. Now I would like to do my bit and support the charity and all veterans who have been impacted physically and/or mentally. I have a great amount of respect and admiration for the brave men and women who join and serve in the Armed Forces, so I would like to give what I can back to them.

When I was a child, my grandad never liked to talk about his time spent in WW2 but the stories he did share (or I learnt through my family) have stuck with me to this day and I share them at any opportunity. He was impacted physically and mentally for all his life and if he had not escaped the prisoner of war camp that he had been taken to after unfortunately being caught (due to a broken leg slowing him down) he would not have survived, nor met my grandma on the way back home after the war ended.

Whilst I train and take part in this exciting challenge, due to my own recent struggles with my physical and mental wellbeing, I wish to improve my overall strength and abilities here.
