Good Luck with your walk. As a veteran, I know how much these events contribute to those who need it the most.

I was a keen ultra-marathon runner for charity during my time in the Forces but did too much damage to my knee on my run along Hadrian's Wall (Which I still did in 12 hrs 20 mins, despite the pain).
