This year will be my third time taking part in the Walking With The Wounded – Cumbrian Challenge. It’s a cause that’s close to my heart as an ex-serviceman, and one that many of you supported so generously last year, thank you.
I’m back again because the need hasn’t gone away.
Walking With The Wounded supports veterans who’ve had the toughest time transitioning to civilian life, those facing mental health struggles, unemployment, homelessness, or involvement with the justice system. Their early‑intervention programmes genuinely change lives, not just for veterans but for their families too.
This year 165 of us from DXC will take on the Lake District peaks in teams of four or five. My team is made up entirely of ex-service men and women from DXC, and our aim is simple:
- Finish as a team
- Raise £2,200 to fund the charity’s vital work
The Cumbrian Challenge has raised over £1.7m in the last decade, and I’m proud to be taking part again to do my bit.
If you’re able to support us, whether £5 or £50, it genuinely makes a difference.
Thank you again to everyone who backed me last year. If you can spare anything this year, I’d really appreciate it.
Every step helps someone take their next one.
