I’ve signed up to take part in Walking With The Wounded, which involves hiking 13 miles through the Cumbrian hills and camping outdoors for two nights.
For those who know me… yes, this is a bold and unexpected life choice. Long walks, hills, carrying a backpack, and sleeping on the floor outside - are not usually on my list. Yet here we are.
That said, I’m up for a challenge—and this one definitely qualifies. There will almost certainly be sore legs, questionable snacks, and a brief moment where I wonder how I got here.

I’ll be raising money for Walking With The Wounded, an incredible charity that supports veterans and their families, helping them regain independence through mental health support, employment programmes, and vital care. They do genuinely life changing work, which makes every uphill struggle worthwhile.
So if you’re able to support, please know that every donation helps drive real change. I’ll be taking this one step at a time, embracing the challenge, and reminding myself that if they can overcome far greater obstacles, I can certainly make it over a few hills.
