Introducing our Next Generation Route for Cadets and Youth Organisations. This is a relatively gentle route that still offers a challenge to our younger cohort. Having conquered Heart Break hill and then caught your breath, you will continue your journey looping the skyline and Rydal water, passing Rydal caves and then up to Loughrigg Fell with views towards Grasmere. Now continue back to the event village through the lower fells.View the kit list
Q. How fit do I need to be to undertake this route?
A. Make sure you’ve warmed up your legs before the event with some walks closer to home, particularly with a bag on your back. Time pressure is very low on this route, so enjoy your time in some lovely scenery, with great views over the lake in Grasmere.
